Govt Reaffirms Support Towards China’s Initiatives

Leveraging pilot applications of intelligent transport, China is putting autonomous driving technologies into trial use on a larger scale, focusing on typical freight transport scenarios including road freight, delivery, intra-park transport and port freight services.  Statistics indicate that as of the end of 2023, around 1,000 autonomous driving trucks had been put into operation by over 100 entities joining pilot projects for intelligent transportation applications, and autonomous driving container trucks had been employed at some 20 ports. Haimbe Lauds Zambia - China Cooperation

 By Linda Mupemo  Mulambo Haimbe - Picture courtesy of his Facebook page  Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Mulambo Haimbe has described the Zambia - China Cooperation as a strategic international partnership aimed at fostering social economic transformation in the country.  Mr. Haimbe clarified that cooperation between the two countries in various sectors is not in any way attracting foreign debt for Zambia.  Mr. Haimbe said this last night when he featured on Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation (ZNBC) Television's Sunday interview programme which was dubbed "Zambia - China Relations."
